A little about myself: Good at many things but not the best at something in particular, that is how I would define myself. I feel thankful for been raised around people from different countries, and I love sharing and talking about different cultures and curiosities.

Q. What’s your favorite color?
A. Red.

Q. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say “red”?
A. Red autumn leaves and Kyoto shrines.

Q. Do you have kids?
A. Not yet.

Q. What are three things you value?
A. Sincerity, good manners and forgiveness.

Q. What kind of place was your hometown?
A. It was a quiet place with a nice neighborhood, but it has changed a lot during the last 20 years. When I was a kid I used to play out in wild forests, but as I grew older, the shopping malls and the city style grew up around as well. The kind of place you need a car to move around.

Q. What is your favorite Japanese food?
A. First time I tried Tonkotsu ramen I fell in love with it. I enjoy trying new varieties of this kind of soup.

Q. What is your favorite non-Japanese food?
A. Mediterranean cuisine. Healthy and simply delicious.

Q. What’s your favorite place in Japan outside Tokyo?
A. I did not travel that much yet, so I will say Kyoto.

Q. What place in Japan do you want to go?
A. The islands on the South which are mostly virgin lands, Japanese nature amazes me.

Q. What do you like best about yourself?
A. My honesty.

Q. What do you do on your free time?
A. If the weather is good, I like spending my time hiking mountains through old trials. For rainy days I just stay home watching a movie or playing some videogame.

Q. What country do you want to visit the most?
A. I always wanted to visit Thailand, because of the food and the landscapes.

Q. What are your favorite movies?
A. Ghibli movies. I saw every one of them and I love them. Mononoke Hime was the first movie I saw of this kind, and it was in the theater. I was 15 year old and that experience just changed my life.

Q. Who are your favorite actors/actresses?
A. Samuel L. Jackson, Robert de Niro, Jim Carrey, Robin Williams..

Q. What is another field of work that is very interesting to you?
A. Information Technologies (IT) is what I studied, specialized in networking. I always wanted to know how Internet works, but now I think that the best part of the Internet is the people behind it.

Q. What is one thing you want to do before you die?
A. I want to meet an Elephant and spend some time with it. That animal just amazes me.

Q. Why did you come to Japan?
A. Becuase my wife is Japanese, of course, but also because I already knew very well this country and culture. My father used to bring me gifts from Japan after his business trips when I was little, and talk about Akihabara. After that, I had a half Spanish-Japanese friend who introduced me to the culture, and since then, my interest just kept growing always through movies, anime and documentaries.
