A little about myself: My dad is an elementary school science teacher and my mom is a retired city worker. I have two older brothers. We grew up in a trailer in rural Florida but my brothers and I moved to New York City when we got older, so I experienced two very different lifestyles. I’m a proud alumnus of New York University! I came to Japan in 2014 and lived in Gunma Prefecture for three years. Kanagawa is great and I am really excited to be here!

So many! For example: Yakushima, Beppu hot springs, and Hokkaido.
Q. What do you like best about yourself?
A. I am a goal-oriented person, and I always find ways to achieve my goals and dreams, as opposed to finding reasons not to do things or being too scared to do something, so I guess you could say I am a positive person as well.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Emma Watson, Elijah Wood, Daniel Day Lewis, and Jim Carrey

Q. What is one thing you want to do before you die?
A. See the Aurora Borealis
Q. Why did you come to Japan?
A. I always wanted to teach in a foreign country. When I was a college student, I became really interested in Japan because I enjoyed reading Japanese authors like Haruki Murakami and Kenzaburo Oe. Once I finished school and teaching in a foreign country became a realistic path, my destination was a no-brainer!
