A little about myself: I was born in a small city in the north of Spain surrounded by animals, both farm and wild, and nature. I became a boy scout where I learned a lot about science and crafts and then studied Fine Arts at the university to finally find myself becoming a Spanish teacher. I came to Tokyo to learn Japanese for a short while…and that was eight years ago. I have long hair that I usually wear tied in a braid and always wear t-shirts, even when it snows. I love cold weather, but my hamster Kabocyan doesn’t, so I have to turn the heater on often in winter.

Q. What’s your favorite color?

A. I love black

Q. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when I say “black “?

A. My T-shirts collection and the darkest summer night, just before the first fireworks explodes in the air.

Q. Do you have kids?

A. Not yet.

Q. How does that impact you at work as a teacher?

A. Not much, really. I had a lot of experience with young students in school and summer camps.

Q. What are three things you value?

A. Honesty, humor and patience.

Q. What kind of place was your hometown?

A. It is a small city inside a valley, surrounded by tall mountains and deep cliffs and covered by woods where it’s pretty much is always cloudy and windy. I’m missing it every day.

Q. What is your favorite Japanese food?

A. Sushi! Any kind!

Q. What is your favorite non-Japanese food?

A. Pizza, red meat, fish…not really a picky eater here.

Q. What’s your favorite place in Japan outside Tokyo?

A. I love Nagano because of the nature and the mountains, and Osaka because of the people’s character.

Q. What place in Japan do you want to go?

A. I want to go to Hokkaido.

Q. What do you like best about yourself?

A. I really, really get along with my inner child.

Q. What do you do on your free time?

A. I help my friends with their Spanish studies, draw manga and illustrations, do some sports…I’m not really a lay-down-and-do-nothing kind of person (sometimes I wish I was.)

A. I wanted to visit Japan… and here I am!
Besides Japan… maybe Germany or Poland.
